xxx-New Employee Orientation

On this weeks quiz, I got all of the questions correct, since there were only three! To improve on future quizes, I could study the vocabulary words or whatever subject we're studying at that time. Another way to improve is by doing my daily work and any work given to me. And Mrs. H you don't have to do anything for me to become successful, because your doing a great job teaching already.

Today I learned how to insert, edit, and modify text. I learned how to simply add text to a slide, which you click in a placeholder, and begin typing. I also learned how to delete text in powerpoint, which all you have to do is highlight the text you wish to delete, and press backspace or delete. I also learned that you should choose serious fonts such as Times New Roman for serious audiences, and fun fonts such as Comic Sans for less serious content. Another thing I learned from this exercise is not to use more than three or four different fonts in a presentation, and use an appropriate font size for titles and subtitles.

From the form that I completed today I learned new vocabulary words such as: presentation, thumbnails, splitter bars, title slide, title, placeholder, and RTF(rich text format). A presentation is a formal or informal report, usually given orally, sometimes called a "speech", or a "talk". Thumbnails are small-size views of all slides in the presentation, in the slides tab. Splitter-bars are horizontal or vertical bars that seperate the left, slide, and notes panes in normal view. A title slide is the first slide shown in a presentation. A title is the heading of the slide. A placeholder is the place where you can add text, objects, or a title to your slide. RTF is a file format with the extension .rtf that enables text to be transferred and read by different applications, such as Word. All these vocabulary words share a definite similarity, which is they are all used or related to powerpoints.

From today's assignment I learned what the normal view toolbar is, and where it is located along with the outline view, slide view, slide sorter view, and slide show. I also learned how to slide the icon in the left pane, and press the home and end button to return to either the 1st or last slide. I also learned about the arrows on the right hand of the screen which moves the present slide to the previous slide or the next slide. I also learned that page up or page down can move your present slide back and forth. The last but not least thing that I learned was how to expand all text in an outline or collapse it.
